South Korean – Icheon

The Unit President İskender Cem LEBLEBİCİ and the Expert Hacer ERİŞ, Director of Cultural and Social Affairs of Kütahya Municipality Mehmet ZENCİ and the craftsman of tile Mehmet GÜRSOY have visited Icheon, South Korea on 7-14 May 2017. International Ceramics Festival has been attended within the scope of the visit. Mehmet Gürsoy, who is an craftsman from Kütahya and has been included in the Living Human Treasures List and has been in the visiting commission there, has met the craftsmen from South Korea and participated in joint ateliers. Moreover, the exhibitions opened within the scope of the festival have been viewed within the scope of the visit.

A courtesy visit has been paid to the Presidency of Icheon Municipality, the Mayor Esteemed Cho Byeong DON and Deputy Mayors have been contacted and the gifts have been presented mutually at the last part of the visit. Our commission have been served lunch by the Deputy Mayor within the scope of the meeting. Furthermore, Icheon Municipality has held technical meetings with the representative of UNESCO Creative Cities Network Oh JAEOHAN.
